Rose colored triangular diamond crystals or amorphous bright white brown powder. Relative density 3.125. Almost insoluble in water, slightly soluble in water containing carbon dioxide (i.e. carbon dioxide), insoluble in alcohol and liquid ammonia.

    ♦PHYSICAL PROPERTY

    The new precipitate is a pink to almost white powder, with rose colored triangular diamond crystals or amorphous bright white brown powder. Relative density 3.125. Almost insoluble in water, insoluble in alcohol   and liquid ammonia. Soluble in dilute acids, insoluble in water and ethanol. Slightly soluble in water containing   carbon dioxide (i.e. carbonate), it gradually turns light brown in the air. Stable in dry air. When moist, it is prone to oxidation and forms manganese dioxide, which gradually turns brown black and decomposes when heated.

    ♦CHEMICAL PARAMETERS:

    Soluble  in  dilute  inorganic  acids,  slightly  soluble  in  ordinary  organic  acids.  Stable  in dry air.  When  moist, it is prone to oxidation, forming manganese dioxide and gradually turning brown black. When heated, it  decomposes  and  releases  carbon  dioxide.   Hydrolysis  occurs when  co boiling with water.  In boiling  potassium hydroxide, manganese hydroxide is generated.

    ♦APPLICATION

    It is a raw material for producing soft magnetic ferrite for telecommunications equipment. Industrial manganese carbonate is widely used as a catalyst for desulfurization, enamel pigment, varnish drying agent, and raw material for manufacturing other manganese salts. It is also used in medicine, mechanical parts, and  phosphating  treatment.  The  content of  manganese carbonate used  as a trace element fertilizer in agriculture can be slightly lower.
